It's the Law

The state of Texas requires all drivers to have at least liability insurance for all vehicles that they own and operate. Therefore, any vehicle we sell at Chacon Autos must meet this requirement before it goes home with its new family.

Insurance and Financing

All vehicles financed by Chacon Autos, must be underwritten with comprehensive and collision - Basic "Full-Coverage" insurance.  The insurance policy must be in effect before the customer may leave with the automobile, and the policy must be maintained for the duration of the loan.

Benefit to Having Insurance

Besides being the law, there are added benefits to having insurance coverage for your vehicle. Having full coverage insurance helps you protect your investment. In the event of an accident that is either your fault, or the fault of an uninsured driver, you would be protected financially. Meaning if your vehicle was totaled in the accident, your insurance company would reimburse you for the value of your vehicle. In most cases the amount of payment you receive should more than cover the amount you still owe the finance company. This protects you from having to continue make payments on a loan for a vehicle that you can no longer can drive.

How to Get Insurance

Chacon Autos does not sell insurance. However, we will be happy to help you get insurance quotes when you are purchasing a vehicle from us.

There are many insurance agencies with different plans and payment options available today. Most companies offer monthly payment plans, others automatic drafting from your checking account, while some let you pay with your credit card. Prices and plans vary with age, driving record, vehicle, county, etc. so be sure to search for the one that is right for you.
